The strategic partnership between NTT Communications and sovity is emerging as a transformative force, empowering global data collaboration in Data Spaces such as the Catena-X automotive network. Guided by principles of data sovereignity, NTT and sovity are leading the charge towards more interconnected and efficient data ecosystems.

sovity’s Connector-as-a-Service Bundle is officially certified by the Catena-X network, and available on the Confinity-X marketplace as an enablement service to accelerate participation and onboarding of companies. We recently expanded the capabilities of our SaaS solutions to connect the entire automotive value chain.

sovity’s EDC Connector-as-a-Service (CaaS) has achieved official certification by Catena-X. In this article we dive deeper into the standards that our CaaS meets to give us the full certification level as a Catena-X Enablement Service Provider.

In the newest product demonstration video sovity shows how to setup, deploy and use a Connector- by sovity. Within just a few minutes data space participants can deploy a connector, add a data source to it and create a data offering with clearly defined usage policies.

sovity was founded in December 2021 and is accomplishing key results within the first 100 days. The key vision stands over all activities: Enable companies to be frontrunners in data ecosystems by providing an easy access to technology of data sovereignty. To achieve this vision, the team is growing, sovity’s product is enhanced and key partnerships a signed. Team: Extending the core team is a mission critical topic as young company. So far, we scaled from three to eight with more experts to come.

Most startups can only dream of such support: barely founded, sovity is already backed by a strong network of experts and partners from industry and research. Automobile manufacturers such as Volkswagen and BMW, ICT service providers such as T-Systems, and organizations such as the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) or Gaia-X are behind the idea of the young Dortmund-based company and endorse it. “Yes, it feels a bit like founding in the comfort zone,” says Sebastian Kleff, co-founder of sovity, the youngest member of the Digital Hub Logistics. “But the task that awaits us remains an immense challenge.”

We are happy and excited to announce the partnership between T-Systems and sovity , a spin-off of the Fraunhofer ISST which provides tchnology to enable data sovereignty. Together we are taking a step further towards the future of data economy, the secure and controlled exchange of data between companies based on Gaia-X and IDS standards.

Dortmund, December 2, 2021. sovity GmbH, a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering ISST, starts its business activities as an independent company as of today. The startup’s solution enables companies of any size and in any industry to fully control and manage their data at any time when interacting with partners, suppliers and customers through “Data Sovereignty as a Service”: with sovity, companies can determine for themselves who is allowed to view or use which data when and to what extent. The solutions are based on the IT architecture of the International Data Spaces for sovereign data exchange between companies with simultaneous control of the use of the data by the data provider. sovity is now implementing this architecture in a concrete software offering for data exchange.
